Our role is to help and support Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Differences to engage positively with education. We use an individualised and needs led approach to work closely with the child, significant others and those closest to them.
Jigsaw Family Support was founded in 2016, after having worked in a variety of alternative educational settings and children's homes for 20 years. I have a vast amount of experience working with children and young people of secondary school age with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance and Sensory Processing Disorders. I pride myself on being able to establish and maintain positive relationships which are central to the success of working with the child, parents, carers and their families.
‘Our son had been out of school for 3 years having been bullied and unsupported in school. Traumatised by his experiences - he vowed he would never go back. Steve Whitehouse is the catalyst, who made our son’s return to education possible and enjoyable'
